Wolfgang Braun, born in Dortmund / Germany, is one of the most renowned experts in the European film industry as he was the former General Manager & Managing Director of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Germany GmbH for more than 10 years. In this function the territory of his responsibility was not only Germany but also some major markets within Western & Eastern Europe. From 1992 - 2008 Wolfgang Braun was Founding Member, Senior-Vice President, General Manager & Managing Director GSA - with Buena Vista International (Germany) GmbH, Munich, Buena Vista Home Entertainment GmbH, Buena Vista International Film Production (Germany) GmbH, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Germany GmbH. From 1988 - 1992 he was CEO of United Cinema International Multiplex GmbH, Bochum and before this, from 1977 - 1988, he managed the operations of both, MBS Kino GmbH and MBS Entertainment GmbH, Bochum. At the beginning of 2009, Wolfgang Braun was appointed Chairman & CEO of KINOWELT INTERNATIONAL, one of the most considerable film distribution organizations that recently were taken over by STUDIOCANAL. Wolfgang Braun holds a master degree in law and political science from the University of Münster / Germany. He is an advisor to Filmtrust Europa AG. |
